You may read a portion of each play for free on our site.  Just click on the play title and then click on the Freeview link listed under the play's synopsis.  If you would like to read the entire play, you may purchase a perusal copy of any play in our catalog.

Music clips are available for some of our musicals.  Just click on the play title and then click on the music clip you would like to hear.

Big Dog Publishing

At Big Dog Publishing, we're committed to theatre and helping student actors of all ages appreciate the arts by offering cool, award-winning plays.  We are pleased to offer 23 new plays for 2009 by a host of outstanding authors.  All of the plays listed in our catalog and on our Web site are exclusive to Big Dog Publishing.

We're Green

We use paper certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.  The FSC is an international non-profit organization founded in 1993 to support forest sustainability and to protect existing forests and wildlife habitat around the world.

We support literacy

We donate damaged or imperfect scripts to literacy programs across the nation. We donated 100 scripts in 2009 to the Cops-n-Kids Reading Program in Racine, WI.  This non-profit program distributes free books to disadvantaged children and low-income families.  If you know of any literacy group or organization in need of reading materials, please e-mail us at Info@BigDogPlays.com.

Submissions Welcome

We welcome submissions from new and established playwrights. If you would like to submit a play, please send a printed copy of your script and a self-addressed stamped envelope to our mailing address. Be sure to include a cover letter, a production history and/or a list of awards (if applicable), and a cast list and character breakdown.  Because we give each script careful consideration, please allow 8 weeks for response. We look forward to reading your work.
